Piano trio for intermediate ability upwards. This is an attractive and straightforward piece, which departs from scale-learning as a pedagogical method, treating scales as melody and motif. Written by the composer in 2018 for his violin pupil, her brother, and their mother, it has sentimental significance. The composer writes in his foreword "this little piece is about scales and simplicity, about growing up, and about remembering those days".
